Who We Are
William Hare, Principal & Founder
Bill has over 30 years of experience helping middle market companies increase the value of their businesses. He has many years of structured finance experience valuing and monetizing unusual or illiquid financial assets for numerous companies.
He served as co-founder and CEO of Cascade Settlement Services, a leading provider of commercial and securities class action claims monetization services for middle market companies. Cascade has originated hundreds of claims purchases, funded by institutional investors, with total value exceeding $500 million.
Prior to that he worked in the asset-backed securities groups of Citicorp and CIBC World Markets (as Managing Director), where he originated transactions with a total asset value exceeding $3 billion.
Bill attended Stanford University, and lives in Phoenixville, PA. When he's not financing greener buildings, he's out fishing - for whatever's biting.
Richard Moseley, Principal & Founder
Rick has over 30 years experience at the nexus of finance, operations, IT, strategy and entrepreneurial leadership. He recently served as CFO of Cascade Settlement Services, a leading provider of commercial and securities class action claims monetization services. Prior to that Rick co-founded a small technology services company (Doxentric LLC) that sold AI solutions to large mortgage and healthcare companies. In this capacity he sold and ran several large technology projects, the largest involving 100+ personnel and nine-figure client investment. For two years he was CTO of a national rollup and IPO (1998) of 26 document management service bureaus. Before that Rick served as COO and CTO for a PE-backed textile manufacturer which provided a 13X return to original investors on exit.
Rick started his career in Public Finance at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. After business school he spent two years as a strategy consultant at Monitor Company in Cambridge MA.
Rick attended Brown University, and has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He lives on a dairy farm in eastern Pennsylvania.
Brad Holmes, Principal
Brad Holmes has over 30 years of experience across several industries focused on business innovation, performance optimization, and growth. Brad has hands-on skills in both B2B and B2C product and market development. He has advised and coached executive leaders at the major healthcare, life sciences, and technology vendors globally as well as dozens of startups in those sectors. Brad has relished his front line management roles and has developed high performing teams throughout his career.
Brad built, led, and significantly grew research and advisory practices at both Gartner and Forrester Research. He developed UnitedHealth Care’s highest enrollment product, its “Options PPO”. He transformed the healthcare benefits plans for Mobil Oil, and was a part of three startups along the way.
Brad graduated from Dartmouth College and the Darden School of Business where he earned the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence. He lives in Sandwich, NH where he is an avid orchard tender and tree geek.
Larry Derrett, Managing Director
Larry has over 35 years of experience in banking, corporate finance, and energy services. As a banker, Larry was responsible for establishing CIBC’s midstream in the U.S. in which he closed $2.4 billion of project financings and securitizations in which CIBC was Lead Arranger.
As a CFO for two early-stage energy companies, Larry established first time credit facilities for both and oversaw their growth by 3X. In addition he established procedures to approve capital investments, budgeting, and reporting to investors and the board.
Larry got his start in the energy services business at a large ESCO and formed a nine-person team providing capital for C&I businesses to invest in clean energy improvements. Owing to his fascination with C-PACE, he formed a small business to team with third party sales channels to deliver a unique funding solution to their customers.
Larry graduated with a Finance degree from the University of Texas and lives in League City, Texas. He is a dog lover and can often be found in the company of Earl.
